这年头,会英文不算什么稀奇了。
会中文才是牛X啊……
前段时间,好几个外国的小“网红”都秀过中文。
▲特朗普外孙女Arabella唱中文歌
▲Rogers

The China International Publishing Group (CIPG) on Saturday released a report on the most recognized Chinese words overseas.
According to the report,Shaolin “少林” , from the Shaolin Temple – the most well-known Buddhist Temple internationally for its martial arts training –tops the list of the 100 most recognized Chinese words.

You mean...Wai Tan?”
当然啦,既然说到熟悉的中文词,那怎么少得了咱们引以为傲的中华美食呢?
Dumplings, hot pot (Huoguo火锅), pancake(Jianbing煎饼)and steamed bun (Mantou馒头)are among the eight food words that foreigners recognize the most. Many foreign students were inspired by Chinese pancake vendors and launched their own start-up catering businesses after returning to their own countries.
Nowadays, people can eat Chinese pancakes not only in China, but also in the US and Europe.

是了,煎饼这种美味便携便宜还能吃饱的小吃,在国外可是越来越风靡了。
前两年,有人在美国曼哈顿开了煎饼摊, 不仅吸引了许多人去吃吃吃,还引得外媒争相报道……
Fresh from China, they came ashore in the San Francisco Bay Area. They stormed Seattle. They descended on Portland, Ore.
Now,they are sweeping across Manhattan, with sightings near Washington Square Park, Midtown and Columbia University.
Jianbing, a street-food crepe from northern China made with eggs, chili and sweet sauce, cilantro, scallions and a crunchy deep-fried dough wafer,is Beijing’s latest culinary flexing of soft power.

Zhifubao? Sure.”
(等等……我说Alipay, 歪果仁却说Zhifubao ?这画风略迷幻啊
)
都被英文词典收录啦!
在许多歪果仁眼里,汉字是神秘又难懂的。
在Quora (国外版知乎)上,有人就问过这么一个问题:
▲“歪果仁看中国的汉字是个什么感觉?”
有盆友直接上了这样一张图……
@Andrs Parzanese:
At first they looked like this, some kind of code.
刚开始看起来汉字很像上图啦,跟某种代码似的。
It made me think “Ok, this is Chinese. I’m in China.”
会让我有一种“啊对,这是中文,我现在在中国啦~”的感觉。
But after learning Chinese I feel exactly as that guy in the first Matrix movie “I don’t see the code, I only see woman, red dress..”
在学了中文之后呢,我倒想起了黑客帝国第一部里的那句“我看到的不是代码,而是穿红裙子的女人……”
Which means that now they are just words to me, I just read them without thinking too much about how they look unless it’s something I don’t understand.
也就是说啊,中文现在对我来说,就是一些有含义的词汇而已。我看到它们直接想到的就是它们所包含的意义,而不会去纠结它们本身长啥样。 (当然咯,如果某个字我还不认识的话,那就另当别论了~)
(汉字真是美啊~
)
汉字虽然长得迷幻,但好在咱还有拼音。近几年,一些拼音/中式英语版 的中国网络热门词汇 ,就一起火遍了国内外,甚至被一些权威的英文词 典给收录了 进去。
比如下面这个:
▲“不作不死(no zuo no die)”被收录进了Urban Dictionary
Chinese internet buzzwords, such asno zuo no die (which translates into English as "if you don't do stupid things, they won't come back and bite you in the back"), "you can you up, no can no BB" (which roughly translates into English as "if you can do it you should go on and do it, instead of criticising others' work") have already been incorporated into the American Urban Dictionary, creating a big splash on the internet last year.
Other words liketuhao (meaning rich rednecks) and dama (referring to elderly women) are likely to be included in the Oxford English Dictionary in the coming days, drawing global attention.

Emmm....“土豪”“大妈”已经被收录进牛津词典了,下一步会不会有“外卖”“代购”之类的加入呢?
如今,当世界的目光越来越多地汇聚中国,当学中文逐渐成为潮流,当英文中出现越来越多Chinese origin的词汇……
时代不同啦……这感觉,还蛮好的嘛。
你觉得为啥老外最熟悉的词是“少林”?还有哪些中国词可以收录进英文词典呢?欢迎留言分享你的观点!
